Example of Payment Acceptance through Gateway

When complex payments are being conducted a payer may need some information from payee’s database. This is the case with utilities payment or payment of Traffic Police (GBDD) fine and so on. Interaction with service providers’ databases in eKassir system is conducted through online gateway to work with databases. This gateway enables payment acceptance server to work with various databases, receive data from the database and upload information into it.

Employment of such scheme allows you to implement various payment scenarios on self service kiosks and cashier operated points of sale, for instance: a payer selects the service, enters personal account number or ID (there is also an option of reading the barcode from the bill or plastic card) and after the completion of a query to the payment acceptance server the following text is displayed on the terminal screen:“ Dear Mr. Ivanov, your account is so and so. The amount due for payment is xx rubles xx kopeks. Please enter the values of certain meters (water, electricity, gas)”. Any data relating to this payer can be retrieved from database. The database file format does not matter, a query can be executed in any format like SQL, Excel, dbf and so on.

Configuration of this gateway requires from client’s personnel certain skills like ability to work with database technology in the first place. If necessary your maintenance staff can take a training course on handling this gateway.

Important!

Important! Ability to work with different formats eliminates the need to bring all service providers’ data to a common format that is difficult and time consuming. You can use the database, which is provided by the service provider. This enables to accept various payments relating to utilities and similar services, carry out customer loyalty programs, conduct client identification (which is essential for banks), interconnect terminals to money transfer systems and so on.
