Payment System Powered by eKassir Gets Started in Turkey
Friday, January 21, 2011
Ditrix Company, Turkey, (TurkPay Company's trade mark) has successfully started running eKassir® PaymentSystem Software to accept payments within Turkey.
'Turkey is a very promising market to deploy payment systems,' – says Fedor Zotov, CEO of Ditrix Company. A beneficial combination of such factors as high level of penetration of mobile communication, universal literacy of the population (almost 100%), comparatively high living standards, social stability, and a wide spread of cash offers let us hope that self-payment kiosks in Turkey will become as wide-spread as they have become in Russia. Moreover, the most popular way of refilling your mobile phone account in the country is to use scratch-cards, which were ousted from the Russian market by payment kiosks years ago. I'm convinced that we've chosen a perfect time to enter the Turkish market. At present, the number of our own kiosks and cashier-operated points in Istanbul, Ankara and Antalya is about 80, but we are planning to set up at least 2000 kiosks in 2011 and about as many in 2012. Besides, the company considers organizing an agent and sub-agent network and installing its own kiosks in Izmir and other Turkish metropolises, as well as at airports, hotels and major touristic centers.'
Ditrix Company started its payment acceptance business in 2009. In 2010 the company took out a license for payment acceptance activity in Turkey. Then, Ekassir Company, Russia, carried out works on localization and implementation of the eKassir® PaymentSystem Software in Turkey. At present, Ditrix is negotiating contracts with all major local operators of mobile and wire communication, providers of cable and sat TV, ISP's and telephony, public utilities companies and energy suppliers. Later on, the company plans to start accepting payments to Russian operators.
Turkey is a country with unique nature. It's washed by four seas: the Mediterranean Sea, the Black Sea, the Marmora and the Aegean Sea. The population of the country is about 73 million people, among which there are people of almost all nationalities and religions. In terms of both its location and its history, the country has always been some sort of a bridge over East and West. As of today, Turkish culture is a synthesis of national traditions and modern values of progress and technology which leads the country into the future.
Ekassir Company is one of the leading developers on the market of software solutions for payment systems, self-service and information kiosk networks.
The company has been working since 2003. By that time its main product eKassir® PaymentSystem, designed to organize payment acceptance systems, has undergone several major phases of development has been implemented and currently successfully used in dozens of payment systems in Russia and abroad. eKassir® Software is easily adjustable to a new equipment, language or currency.
